Video: Driver critically injured after fiery crash on Eindhoven ring road

A major crash on the ring road in Eindhoven Friday night left the driver critically injured and the vehicle completely destroyed. According to Hart van Nederland, the accident occurred after the driver lost control of the car.

Eyewitnesses reported that the vehicle struck a light pole before crossing into oncoming traffic. The impact caused the car to burst into flames, sending debris across the road and into the surrounding area.

A wheel, still attached to its brake disc, was reported nearly 100 meters from the crash site. The crash drew numerous local residents who came to observe the aftermath, Hart van Nederland reported.

According to a correspondent on the scene, emergency services found the driver already out of the vehicle. It is unclear whether the driver exited the car independently or was ejected. The victim was transported to a hospital in critical condition.
