Man severely wounded in Rotterdam home shooting; Suspect arrested

A man was seriously injured Sunday morning in a shooting at a home on Vlaggemanstraat in Rotterdam-Bergpolder. According to Rijnmond, emergency responders rushed him to the hospital after stabilizing him at the scene.

The Mobile Medical Team and ambulance personnel worked alongside firefighters to safely remove the victim from the house. “A suspect has been arrested at the residence,” police said. “What exactly happened is still unclear. Our investigation is ongoing.”

Separately, late Saturday night in Eindhoven, a man suffered hand injuries in a stabbing on Bleekweg. Police received a report of the incident around 4:45 a.m. but provided few details.

"We cannot yet say what exactly happened, who the perpetrator is, or what motivated the attack,” authorities said.
