Summer ending with sunny periods, occassional showers, and pleasant temperatures

The last three days of meteorological summer in the Netherlands will see a few showers, but also long sunny periods and pleasant temperatures in the low to mid twenties. Autumn will start next week with much the same forecast, according to Weeronline.

Friday morning will be dry with sunny spells and little wind inland. In the afternoon, cloudy fields and a few showers will spread across the southwest. The cloud cover will spread to the south, west, and central regions, increasing the chance of rain and thunderstorms. The wind will also become gusty on the south coast. Maximums will range from around 20 degrees in the southwest and up to 24 degrees in the east and northeast.

Saturday will start dry and sunny inland, with a chance of some showers in the northwestern half of the country. In the afternoon, there will be a mix of cumulus clouds, sunshine, and scattered showers across the country. Afternoon temperatures will climb to between 21 and 24 degrees, with a moderate southwesterly wind that may be strong along the coast.

Sunday, the last day of meteorological summer, will start with changeable weather. The west of the country can look forward to drier weather by the afternoon, but the east will see occasional showers throughout the day. The sun will break through occasionally, especially in the west. Maximums will climb to between 21 and 24 degrees with a moderate southwesterly wind.

The first days of autumn will also be a mix of dry periods and showers, with maximums between 20 and 23 degrees.
