Sunshine and temps up to 27 degrees on Monday; Showers and cooler weather tomorrow
The Netherlands is in for a beautiful summer’s day on Monday, with lots of sunshine and maximums climbing up to 27 degrees in some places. Tuesday will be another story. Cooler air will bring in showers and lower maximums. But the weather should turn around again from Wednesday, Weeronline reported.
Monday is dry everywhere. “The weather picture consists of a mix of sun and some clouds, but the sun comes through just fine.” Afternoon temperatures will climb to 21 or 22 degrees on the north coast, 25 degrees in the center of the country, and 27 degrees in the southeast. The wind comes from the southeast and will be weak to moderate. At the end of the afternoon, the southwest will see thicker clouds and maybe some showers.
Zeeland will be the first to see the showers enter the country this evening. They’ll move from southwest to northeast, dissipating the summer heat. The southeast wind will turn to the southwest, and minimums will drop to between 15 and 17 degrees.
Tuesday morning will still be dry in many places but very cloudy. “Towards noon, several heavy showers will move across the country from the west,” Weeronline said. Maximums will range between 18 and 21 degrees, but feel a few degrees cooler when it’s raining. The showers will continue into the evening and only move on to Germany during the night to Wednesday.
Wednesday will be dry with sunny spells and a transition day back to summer weather. Maximums will range between 22 degrees in the northwest and 24 or 25 degrees in the southeast, with a weak wind from the southwest.
Thursday will be back to summer, with high temperatures and lots of sunshine. Maximums will exceed 25 degrees in many places, with the southeast climbing to around 27 degrees again. Only the northwest will likely not see summer values, with maximums around 23 or 24 degrees.
Friday will be the warmest day of the week, with widespread temperatures between 25 and 30 degrees.
From Saturday onwards, the chance of showers will increase again, and temperatures will drop somewhat. On Sunday, maximums won’t reach the mid-20s. “The following days are also unlikely to have summer temperatures, with a daily chance of showers,” Weeronline said.
