Multiple shots fired at The Hague home days after explosion
A house on Zonneoord in The Hague was shot at multiple times during the night of Saturday to Sunday, leaving several bullet holes in the already heavily damaged front door, AD reports. The door had been boarded up after a powerful explosion struck the same residence just two days earlier.
Neighbors reported hearing numerous gunshots during the incident. Police confirmed to AD that the house was targeted by multiple gunshots but said no one was injured. Forensic investigators and detectives conducted an on-site investigation following the shooting.
Two nights prior, in the early hours of Friday, an explosive device detonated at the property, causing significant damage to the front door and igniting a small fire that was quickly extinguished.
Witnesses told police they saw a person dressed in black fleeing toward Beresteinlaan and the surrounding streets after the explosion. Despite a search, authorities were unable to locate the suspect.
Police are considering all possibilities, including a connection between the explosion and the shooting. They have appealed to the public for any witnesses to come forward.
