One injured after falling during major office fire in Oosterhout

A major fire broke out overnight in an office building in Oosterhout, leaving one person injured and causing extensive damage to the property, according to local authorities.

The fire was reported around 2:30 a.m. in a building belonging to a transport company, according to NOS. Fire crews arrived quickly and escalated the response to ensure additional equipment and personnel were available to contain the flames.

While firefighters were working to extinguish the blaze, a person fell from the first floor and sustained injuries. The injured individual was transported to a hospital for treatment, Omroep Brabant reported.

Three other people were also inside the building at the time of the fire. Firefighters safely removed them, and they were not harmed, officials said.

Fire crews brought the fire under control about an hour after it started, but teams continued to extinguish hot spots for some time afterward.
