Teen fatbike rider killed in late-night collision with car in Oss
A 17-year-old boy from Oss died late Saturday night after his fatbike collided with a car on Joannes Zwijsenlaan in the southern part of the city. The fatal crash occurred around 11 p.m., according to police. The driver of the car was not injured in the collision.
Police confirmed the victim’s identity early Sunday morning. “The identity of the victim of the accident on Joannes Zwijsenlaan in #Oss is known. It concerns a 17-year-old young man from Oss. We extend our heartfelt condolences to the relatives. We are still present at the scene of the accident to conduct an investigation,” the Oost-Brabant police unit posted on X at 12:57 a.m. on May 25.
The exact circumstances of the crash remain under investigation. A forensic team is examining the scene, and police are collecting evidence from the surrounding area.
Officers have retrieved security camera footage from the neighborhood. One eyewitness has also come forward, authorities confirmed. Police did not release additional details about the cause of the accident or the identity of the car’s driver.
