Five injured in serious crash in a village in the Groningen province
Five people were injured in a serious collision between a van and a car in Mussel, a village in the Groningen province, on Wednesday morning. The accident, which occurred around 7:30 a.m. on the N366, also known as A.G. Wildervanckweg, left three individuals seriously injured, RTL reported.
Emergency services responded swiftly to the crash, with multiple fire teams dispatched from Ter-Apel, Stadskanaal, Veendam, and Emmen. A trauma helicopter was also called to the scene.
All five individuals involved in the accident were taken to nearby hospitals for treatment. Their conditions are not yet fully known.
Local authorities have not released the identities of those involved. The exact cause of the collision remains unclear, and authorities are investigating the incident.
