Body found in Tilburg apartment after Sunday morning fire

A body was discovered in a Tilburg apartment following a fire on Sunday morning, De Telegraaf reports. The fire, which occurred in a small apartment complex, has raised questions about whether the victim's death was caused by the blaze, but the cause of the fire and the identity of the deceased remain unknown.

The fire department responded to the scene around 10:25 a.m. after receiving a call about the incident. According to a police spokesperson, the fire had already been extinguished by the time authorities arrived.

The fire was confined to the apartment where the victim was found, preventing further damage to the building.

At this stage, officials have not released any information regarding the identity of the deceased. "We are still busy with the investigation," the police spokesperson said, adding that it was too early to determine the cause of death or the origin of the fire.
