Woman killed in stabbing in Overijssel town; Suspect injured

A woman has passed away after a stabbing incident in Hardenburg, Overijssel. A man who is alleged to have been involved in the incident is currently in the hospital with an injury.

The police called it a “violent incident” which happened on the street during the late afternoon hours. The emergency services found the woman and man on the Blanckvoortallee. Both were injured and were transported to the hospital straight away.

The woman died of her injuries at the hospital. The man is suspected of being involved.

A police spokesperson has said that they cannot share any further details. It is unclear whether the two people knew each other.

Witnesses who saw the stabbing happen are currently being spoken to by police. They have also been offered help by victim support.
