20 arrested during protest at Shell headquarters

The police arrested 20 people on Friday morning during an unannounced demonstration at the Shell headquarters in The Hague. Twelve were arrested for committing vandalism, eight for not following police orders, NU.nl.

The demonstrators sprayed graffiti on the walls of the building, among other things. Some 50 demonstrators in total showed up to protest at Shell headquarters on Carel van Bylandtlaan.

The police took the detainees to a police station for processing. A area was made available for the remaining protesters to hold their demonstration.
