Man, 33, arrested for Hague girl's disappearance

A 33-year-old man was arrested in The Hague on Wednesday evening in connection with the disappearance of Nsimire. The 14-year-old girl was found in good health on Wednesday afternoon after she'd been missing for nearly four weeks.

The police believe the man from The Hague offered Nsimire shelter in the weeks that she was missing. He is suspected of withdrawing a minor from parental authority. The man is being questioned.

"Over the coming days we will talk with Nsimire about the reason for her disappearance and where she stayed and what happened", the police said in a statement on Thursday. "Much of this is still unclear and is being investigated. Nsimire is receiving help and support from experts."

The police also thanked the public for their help in searching for Nsimire over the past weeks. The girl was found after a tip.
