Plane lands safely in Eindhoven after technical problems

A plane landed safely at Eindhoven Airport on Wednesday after experiencing technical difficulties, the fire brigade said. The Wizz Air flight from Bucharest to Eindhoven carried 228 people, a spokesperson for the airport said to Omroep Brabant.

According to the spokesperson, there was a problem with the flaps on a wing of the plane. As a result, the plane landed at higher speed than normal. The pilot managed to touch down safely. No one was injured.

The fire department, ambulances and police were on standby at the airport so that they could intervene if necessary.
