Suspect arrested for killing Dutch woman in Melbourne hit-and-run

A suspect was arrested for a hit-and-run accident in the Australian city of Melbourne in which a 27-year-old Dutch woman was killed. The 26-year-old man was arrested in the center of the city after the police spread photos of him. The man, who has no fixed place of residence, is being questioned, the police said, NU.nl reports.

The Dutch woman was cycling in a suburb of Melbourne on Sunday when she was hit by a car. The car also hit multiple parked vehicles. Witnesses told the police that the driver took some stuff from the car's back seat before he calmly walked away. The car turned out to be stolen.

People who witnessed the arrest told Australian media that the man looked confused but calm.
