Naked model’s fatal fall was no accident says private detective

Dutch model Ivana Smit's death in Malaysia was not an accident and a murder investigation should be launched, Mark Williams-Thomas, a British private detective Ivana's family hired to look into her death, said to Belgian broadcaster TVL.

Ivana died on December 7th after a night out with an American couple. She fell from the 20th floor of an apartment building in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Her naked body was found on a balcony on the 6th floor. The Malaysian authorities concluded that the 18-year-old woman's death was a tragic accident, but her family does not believe it. Dutch pathologist Frank de Groot did an autopsy on Ivana's body and concluded that some of the injuries she sustained are not consistent with a fall from a great height.

This led Ivana's parents to hire Williams-Thomas, who investigated the young model's death in Malaysia over the past week. He believes that a murder investigation should be launched.

"I have no doubt. From the evidence that I have collected this week, and other information that we have through the forensics, we are in position to say very clearly: If this was being dealt with in the U.K. it would be treated as a homicide investigation", he said telephonically to the Belgian broadcaster.

He noted that Malaysia has a "massive" problem with corruption. "We very clearly found out that clubs and individuals pay the police for protection." He called it shocking that in the 21st century police still cooperate in coverups.

According to Williams-Thomas, many people he spoke to regarding Ivana's death were afraid to talk about it. But they were willing to tell him about it once he promised them anonymity. "There are very few people who we talked to over here who would not say that there is something suspicious to it." he said to TVL. "It was certainly not a tragic accident." He hopes to be able to provide more information on the matter in the next week.

Have been given direct evidence of organised police protection rackets & organised crime syndicates operating . Much more on this to come in my final findings.
