Shooting in Friesland town leaves one seriously injured

One person was seriously injured in a shooting in a home in the Friesland town of Dronrijp on Monday morning. The victim was rushed to a hospital in a helicopter. Two suspects fled in a car, ANP reports.

The victim is the resident of the home in which the shooting happened. He sustained multiple gunshot wounds and is in critical condition, according to the police.

A burning car was found in the village of Deinum, near Dronrijp. The police are investigating whether this was the perpetrators' getaway car. The car is registered as stolen.
