One person was seriously injured in a shooting in a home in the Friesland town of Dronrijp on Monday morning. The victim was rushed to a hospital in a helicopter. Two suspects fled in a car, ANP reports. 

The victim is the resident of the home in which the shooting happened. He sustained multiple gunshot wounds and is in critical condition, according to the police. 

A burning car was found in the village of Deinum, near Dronrijp. The police are investigating whether this was the perpetrators' getaway car. The car is registered as stolen.

A child was critically injured when he fell from a playground on a schoolyard in Arnhem on Wednesday morning, the Telegraaf reports.

A doctor from the responding trauma helicopter resuscitated the boy on the spot before an ambulance rushed him to hospital with a police escort.

The incident happened around 10:30 a.m. at the school square of primary schools Toermalijn and Jeroen Bosch School on Brabantweg. What exactly happened is not yet clear.

An as yet unidentified man was found severely injured on a business premises in Haarlem on Wednesday evening. He was rushed to the hospital with multiple gunshot wounds, ANP reports. 

The man was conscious and able to speak to the police when they found him on Palletweg. One suspect was arrested for this shooting, more arrests may follow.

According to social media posts, multiple ambulances and a helicopter responded to the shooting. The responding police officers were wearing bulletproof vests, according to the news wire.

The police are looking for witnesses to a stabbing in Capelle aan den IJssel on Sunday night that left a 52-year-old man from Rotterdam critically injured. The victim was found near Ernst Barlachrade and was rushed to the hospital. "The situation is still unclear and the police would therefore like to talk to witnesses", the police said in a statement.

According to the police, the victim was stabbed in the back, possibly on Ernst Barlachrade. Around 9:00 p.m. a passerby found the critically injured man on Jachthoorn and called the emergency services.

One person was killed and another was badly injured Wednesday morning in an accident with a freight elevator in the Willemswerf building on Boompjes in Rotterdam. The lift is believed to have plummeted several stories with the two people inside, AD reports.

The elevator came to a standstill between the 18th and 17th floors shortly after 9 a.m. The two victims were stuck in it for some time. Emergency services struggled to free them, but eventually managed. Both were rushed to the Erasmus MC hospital by 10 a.m., and first reports of the fatality were revealed a half hour later.

A 16-year-old boy was critically injured in a freak car accident in Hilvarenbeek on Tuesday night. The boy was waiting at a bus stop with friends when he somehow ended up in the road and was hit by a car. The 28-year-old driver was arrested at the scene, though so far the police does not believe that alcohol or reckless driving played a part in the accident

Chris van Esch, the 63 year old man who lost his arm and part of his leg in an explosion in Breda last year November, has no faith in the police investigation into the attack. He is very concerned that the perpetrator that very nearly killed him will never be caught, and that he will spend the rest of his life looking over his shoulder

An exploding car on the Thorbeckeplein in Breda on Wednesday night left a man severely wounded. So far nothing is known about the circumstances of the explosion, though there is speculation of a bomb-attack from within the criminal circuit. Bystanders doubt whether the victim will survive, "if he does, he will be severely handicapped for the rest of his life"

The 14-year-old Hamza from Rotterdam is still in an induced coma, after he was critically injured on New Year's Eve by shrapnel from a parking meter, that was blown up with illegal fireworks. The boy sustained brain damage.

A fifth suspect was arrested Wednesday afternoon in the case of the fireworks incident on the Wolphaertsbocht in Rotterdam last New Year's Eve. A 19-year-old Rotterdam local was arrested in Delfshaven. He is suspected of involvement in the incident.
