Prosecutor wants to keep Rotterdam terror suspect in custody

The Public Prosecutor wants to keep the 22-year-old man suspected of involvement in a terrorist threat in Rotterdam in custody. The young man will be arraigned before the end of the day, NOS reports.

The 22-year-old man was arrested in his home town of Zevenbergen during the early hours of Thursday morning. He is suspected of threatening to commit a terrorist attack on an Allah-Las concert that was scheduled to be in the Maassilo in Rotterdam on Wednesday night. The concert was canceled.

The suspect hasn't been arraigned yet because the Public Prosecutor is still working out the suspicions against him. These have to be very specific and precise, according to NOS. Dutch law states that a suspect must be arraigned within 3 days and 15 hours of his or her arrest, so it must happen before the weekend, according to the broadcaster.
