Arrest made in murder of Amsterdam career criminal

The police recently arrested a man on suspicion of complicity in the murder of Amsterdam career criminal Vincent Jalink in Diemen in May last year. The suspect is 27-year-old Gideon G. from Haarlem, was revealed in the Amsterdam court on Wednesday, NU.nl reports.

G. is currently in court because, according to the Public Prosecutor, he was planning an assassination in Heemskerk in October last year. He was arrested for involvement in Jalink's assassination two weeks ago.

Jalink, 38, was shot dead in Diemen in May 2017 while his young son watched. Surveillance camera footage of the event show two perpetrators.

Gideon G. was previously in contact with the judiciary for cannabis cultivation and firearm possession.
