Helmond man arrested for forcing girl, 16, into prostitution

A 24-year-old man from Helmond was arrested on Tuesday on suspicion of sexually exploiting a 16-year-old girl from Breda. The police believe the man made the teenager work as a prostitute between February and May this year. According to the police, the man placed sex ads for the teenagers and took her to customers at their homes or in hotels. These customers are also under investigation. The police searched the man's home and seized cellphones, a tablet, a laptop and an amount of money. The man is facing human trafficking charges. On Thursday the magistrate remanded him back into custody for another two weeks.
