Shooting follows Tilburg traffic accident, argument; Two arrested

Two people were arrested in Tilburg on Monday night after an argument over a traffic accident ended in shots being fired. One person was wounded in the accident, but did not have to go to the hospital, the police report on Twitter. The accident and argument happened in the vicinity of an apartment building on Bartokstraat. A police spokesperson told Omroep Brabant that the situation is "still very unclear". "There was a large group of people in the street", the spokesperson said. "Who is who and what role they played in the conflict, that we still have to figure out." The shots were fired around 7:45 p.m. Officers closed down the area for investigation. One man was arrested for disturbing the peace. A police spokesperson told Omroep Brabant that he was not involved in the shooting or the accident. Another person was arrested around 9:45 p.m., on suspicion of involvement in the shooting or accident.
