Police rescue 11 dogs, 3 cockatiels from filthy house

The animal police and the National Animal Protection Inspectorate rescued 11 dogs and three cockatiels from a very filthy house on Brouwerstraat in Etten-Leur on Friday. The police decided to check on the situation at the house after receiving several reports about the address. The owners were not home, but the Public Prosecutor issued a warrant for the police to enter. Inside they found that the house was absolutely filthy. The garden was filled with excrement. A veterinarian assessed the situation and decided that all animals - 11 dogs and three cockatiels - had to be removed from the house immediately. The animals were picked up and the house was closed down again. The owners of the house will be questioned by the police.
