No severance for alleged secret prostitute fired by Dutch Central Bank

The court has rejected the claim for severance pay from the former Dutch Central Bank employee who led a double life as a SM mistress. The woman firmly denies that she prostituted herself and demand 200 thousand euros in severance pay. This is according to journalist movement Follow the Money, based on the anonymised verdict on this case, which was put online last week. The woman made headlines in April when it was revealed that while she was working as a supervisor in the Dutch Central Bank's trust division, she was also living a life as an BDSM mistress and prostitute under the alias Conchita van der Waal. Photos of the woman in erotic poses could be seen on a website that offered here services. In October last year, the judge ruled that the bank could fire her. The woman denies that she prostituted herself. The private website on which her photos appeared and offered her as a prostitute, was only part of her and her husband's "fantasy world". She therefore demanded severance pay from her former employer. The judge decided that it does not mater whether or not the woman was actually involved in prostitution. The site created the appearance of her being involved in prostitution, which made her susceptible to blackmail. And because of this she "seriously failed as an employee".
