Leiden Suspect: "It wasn't me"

The boy suspected by the police as having placed the Leiden-shooting threat on the Internet did not place the message himself, claims his lawyer, Rens Charité. The suspect had spoken about his private problems with an American in a hostel in Costa Rica. This American placed the threat in an Internet forum after their conversation. NOS.nl reported that the accused did not know anything about the threat, but wrote a reaction in Dutch later. “He shouldn’t have done that,” according to his lawyer. The boy was released today after he explained that he never intended to execute the threat. However, the public prosecutor still considers him a suspect.
