Armed robber flees gas station in Rotterdam with cash

A man armed with a knife robbed a gas station on the Groene Kruisweg in Rotterdam-Hoogvliet Saturday evening, police said. The suspect escaped with cash shortly after threatening an employee, Rijnmond reported.

The incident occurred around 9:00 p.m., according to authorities. The employee was unharmed but shaken by the encounter. “The employee got away with just a fright,” police reported.

Police have launched an investigation into the robbery, collecting evidence and reviewing security footage to identify the suspect. No arrests have been made.

Authorities are asking anyone with information about the suspect or the incident to come forward.
