Man dies in stabbing outside hotel in Akersloot

A man died Saturday afternoon in a stabbing incident near the Van der Valk Hotel Akersloot on Geesterweg, authorities confirmed. Emergency services were alerted around 1:30 p.m.

A police spokesperson said the man was found lying in the grass near the hotel’s parking lot. Despite attempts to resuscitate the victim, he succumbed to his injuries at the scene.

“The exact events are still unclear, and we are investigating,” the spokesperson said. “We ask anyone who witnessed the incident to contact us.”

The victim’s identity has not yet been released. Police have cordoned off the area with tape as they continue their investigation. No suspects have been arrested so far.
