Man injured in Hoogeveen stabbing; Suspect arrested

A man was injured early Sunday in a stabbing in the center of Hoogeveen, police reported. Authorities arrested a suspect shortly after the attack.

The incident occurred around 3:15 a.m. in the Grote Kerkstraat. The victim sustained injuries, and police quickly responded to the scene.

“We received a report of a stabbing in the city center and arrived immediately. A suspect was detained in the nearby Kleine Kerkstraat,” the police wrote on X.
