Person injured in Rijswijk stabbing; Suspect arrested nearby

A person was injured in a stabbing at a home on Steenvoordelaan near Van Vredenburchweg in Rijswijk on Saturday afternoon. According to Omroep West, emergency services received a report of the incident around 4:00 p.m.

Police arrested a suspect in the vicinity shortly after the stabbing. Authorities said the victim and the suspect know each other.

Paramedics treated the victim on the scene before transporting them to a hospital.

A trauma helicopter was dispatched but returned to base shortly afterward.
