Limburg school closed for the day after parents, pupils threaten teachers
The Grescollege in Reuver, Limburg, decided to remain closed on Tuesday after several parents and pupils threatened school employees on Monday and Friday. The police had to intervene. The school has filed charges, De Limburger reports.
According to the newspaper, a student refusing to put away their phone in class on Friday sparked the situation. Instead of putting away their phone, they called for help. Parents and other students came to confront the teacher and threatened and harassed several school employees. The police intervened and calmed the situation.
On Monday, several police officers were at the school, but parents and students again threatened and intimidated school employees. The school closed its doors for some time, keeping students inside. They were only allowed to leave after the police had the situation under control.
