Several Dutch hurt in restaurant collapse on Mallorca
Several Dutch got hurt when part of a restaurant and club collapsed in Mallorca on Thursday evening. At least four people died in the incident on the Spanish island. Broadcaster L1 reported that at least four Limburg holidaymakers got hurt, including one who needed surgery. The ANWB received requests for aid from two Dutch who sustained minor injuries.
A packed terrace on the upper floor of the Medusa Beach Club collapsed and came crashing down onto the crowded terrace on the ground floor. Those killed include a 23-year-old woman from Spain, a 44-year-old man from Senegal, and two women from Germany aged 20 and 30, police said.

According to local media, the establishment was very popular with tourists and locals alike, thanks in part to its views of the bay. The Medusa Beach Club in El Arenal is located approximately 10 kilometers southeast of the center of Palma.
El País reported that 16 people were still receiving treatment on Friday morning. They all sustained serious injuries, and seven are in critical condition. The emergency services believe nobody is still buried under the rubble.
L1 wrote that the four injured Dutch tourists were holidaying in a group of five couples. About half of the group required hospital treatment, and one resident of the village of Baarlo needed surgery. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is in contact with one injured Dutch national, but could not say whether it is one of the persons reported by the Limburg broadcaster.
A spokesperson for the ANWB Emergency Center said it received requests for help from two Dutch individuals who were hurt. The spokesperson could not say anything about the nature of their injuries, only that they were not severe.
The ANWB offers aid in these types of cases, including possible coverage of medical costs or other requests for assistance.
