Massive brawl in Noord-Brabant asylum center; four hurt

A massive fight broke out in the asylum center in Budel, Noord-Brabant, early on Tuesday morning. More than 100 people were initially reported to have been involved in the brawl, a figure which was later revised down to about 15. Four residents of the center sustained minor cuts during the fight, the Oost-Brabant police said on Twitter.

The fight started for as yet unknown reasons at around 4:00 a.m., according to NU.nl. The police responded to with multiple units. Knives were involved and a security guard was threatened, the police said. By 5:30 a.m., calm had returned to the asylum center.

One person was arrested and more arrests may follow, the police said. "We are investigating this incident. Much is still unclear."
