Father, daughter killed in holiday car crash; Mother, two kids hurt

A 43-year-old Dutch man and his 3-year-old daughter were killed in a serious traffic accident on the A8 highway near Munich in Germany on Sunday morning. The 39-year-old mother and their two other children, aged 11 and 13 years, were seriously injured, RTL Nieuws reports.

The Dutch family was traveling south in their minibus when it went off the road for unknown reasons and hit a tree. The accident happened at around 7:30 a.m. on Sunday. The mother was driving at the time, according to the broadcaster. The cause of the accident is not yet clear.

The accident left the children trapped in the van. The fire brigade had to cut them out.
