Body in canal identified as missing Amsterdam man

A body found in the Keizergracht on Utrechtsestraat in Amsterdam on Thursday was identified as Mustapha Agalf from the city. The 34-year-old man went missing at the start of this month.

Agalf was last seen leaving a pub on Utrechtsestraat during the early hours of Friday, March 1st. He seems to have drowned, according to Het Parool. His family was informed on Thursday, the police said.

The Amsterdam man's body was spotted in the canal on Thursday morning by a passerby, who called the police. Police divers took the body out of the water and identified the victim.
