Man arrested for threatening footballer, 15, with gun

A 22-year-old man from Etten-Leur was arrested on Sunday night for threatening a 15-year-old boy with a gun. The man threatened the teenager after he scored a goal during a five to five game on Hobodreef in the Noord-Brabant town, the Telegraaf reports.

After the boy scored a goal, an argument arose with the opponents. One of the opponents shouted that he was going to shoot the boy. The threatening man left, but came back to the small sports field a few minutes later. He walked towards the boy and pulled a gun out of his coat pocket. When the man aimed the gun at the boy, the young footballer ran away, according to the newspaper.

The teenager reported the incident to the police. Investigation led the police to the Etten-Leur man. He was arrested at his home for questioning. No firearm was found.
