Man stabbed in supermarket after argument over cutting in line

An argument about cutting in line escalated into a stabbing incident in a supermarket in Vlaardingen on Thursday. One man was injured. A suspect was arrested, at his own birthday party, NU.nl reports.

The victim was taken to hospital in unknown condition.

The police arrested the suspect at his home in Vlaardingen. When they arrived there, a birthday party was underway. It turned out to be the suspect's own party. He turned 53.

The police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the stabbing.
