Girl, 15, sexually assaulted in crowded train
A 15-year-old girl was sexually assaulted on a train from Emmen to Coevorden on February 5th. The police released photos of the suspect in the hopes that information from the public can help track him down, AD reports.
The train departed from Emmen at 5:38 p.m. on Monday, February 5th. The girl was sitting in a compartment with several other people when a man came to sit next to her. He tried to kiss her and groped at her, also grabbing her crotch.
"The girl had no idea how to react. She began to laugh from sheer nerves. As a result, it is possible that the other passengers did not notice exactly what happened", the police said.
The girl got off the train in Coevorden at 5:53 p.m. and did not notice that the man got off behind her. He followed her to the bicycle shed, where he again assaulted her.
The police discussed the case on Opsporing Verzocht on Tuesday. Since then seven tips were received.
