Suspect arrested in Zwolle shooting
The police arrested a suspect in connection with a shooting incident on Biezenknoppen in Zwolle on early on Wednesday morning. As far as is known, no one was injured in the shooting, the police said in a statement.
Police officers responded to Biezenknoppen in the Stadshagen neighborhood around 2:50 a.m. on Wednesday morning after multiple local residents reported hearing gunshots. At the scene the officers found evidence that a gun was fired near a parked car. Dents were found in a second parked car further up the street.
Initial investigation led the police to a 27-year-old man from Zwolle. He was arrested later in the morning elsewhere in the neighborhood on suspicion of involvement in the shooting.
The police are still investigating exactly what happened. Investigators call on witnesses to come forward.
