Aggressive passenger forces evacuation of Amsterdam to Berlin train

The police evacuated an international train at the station in Wierden, Overijssel on Monday after an aggressive passenger started breaking the train's windows. The man was arrested on the train, ANP reports.

According to NS, the train was on its way from Berlin to Amsterdam. "The man broke a number of the train's windows", a spokesperson for the Dutch rail company said to the news wire.

Evacuated passengers completed their journey on another train. The damaged train was driven to a location where its windows can be repaired without passengers.

Why the man started damaging the train is unclear. The police are investigating.
