Man arrested for throwing girlfriend out of window after "nice Christmas night"

A 38-year-old man from Voorburg was arrested on Tuesday for throwing his girlfriend out of a first floor window. An hour before this happened, the police also responded to the home after neighbors complained about the noise. Then the Voorburg man told the police they were having a "nice Christmas night", AD reports.

The police first responded to the home on Parkweg around 5:00 a.m. on Boxing Day after neighbors complained about the noise coming from the home. They found a couple in front of a first floor window, barely dressed. While speaking to the couple, the man told the officers that they were having a nice Christmas night and the officers left.

An hour later, the cops again responded to the home after getting a call on the emergency number 112. "When we arrived, the very panicked and wounded woman stumbled to our vehicle", the police said. She told them that the man threw her out of the window.

The man initially refused to come out of the home, but relented and came outside when the police tried to force his door open. He was arrested and spent Boxing day in a cell. The police are investigating exactly what happened.

The woman was taken to hospital with unknown injuries.
