Teenagers arrested for raping woman at Eindhoven bus station

The police arrested two 16-year-old boys from Eindhoven on suspicion of raping a 19-year-old woman at a bus station in the city in September.

The rape happened between 6:00 and 6:30 a.m. on Saturday, September 23rd. The young woman was walking from the city center towards the Neckerspoel bus station when two boys started harassing her. She was raped near the emergency stairs at the station's bicycle parking. The perpetrators fled afterwards.

The police used surveillance camera footage from the station and its surroundings to identify the suspects. A police officer recognized one of the boys on the footage. That suspect was arrested on Tuesday afternoon. Further investigation led to the second suspect, arrested on Thursday.

Both boys are in custody for questioning.
