More arrests made after dying gunshot victim dumped at Rotterdam hospital

Another two suspects were arrested in connection with the death of a 24-year-old man from Rotterdam, who was left wounded and dying outside the Ikazia Hospital in Rotterdam on Tuesday. A total of four suspects are now in custody on suspicion of involvement in the shooting that resulted in the victim's death, AD reports.

The shooting happened on Dynamostraat in Rotterdam-Zuid on Tuesday afternoon. Friends of the victim, whose name was Ingomar according to AD, drove him to the hospital and left him outside the door. Hospital employees tried to help him, but it was to no avail.

A short time later the police arrested the two people who left Ingomar at the hospital - Rotterdam residents aged 21 and 25 years old. On Tuesday night a third suspect was arrested. And on Wednesday afternoon the fourth suspect, a 34-year-old man from Rotterdam, was taken into custody. The police are investigating their involvement in the shooting.

The circumstances surrounding the shooting are still under investigation. So far the police found that shots were fired in a building on Motorstraat and on Dynamostraat. A large team of detectives are on the case. Investigators are looking for witnesses and anyone who may have taken photos or video of the shooting.

Friends and family members told AD that Ingomar had a difficult youth. He and his siblings were taken from their home when he was 9 years old, after his mother was found unfit to raise them. After that Ingomar spent a great deal of his time in youth institutions and juvenile detention. According to a cousin, Ingomar had a "difficult puberty". "But he was doing his best now, did everything for his two children. Sometimes he had work, sometimes he was unemployed. He was good for the people around him."
