Construction worker killed in workplace accident in Groningen

A man was killed in an accident on a construction site in Groningen on Wednesday morning. According to the police, the construction worker was trapped under a collapsed wall, the Telegraaf reports.

Emergency services rushed to the scene, but aid workers could not save the man. The accident happened on Langezijde in the Oosterparkbuurt neighborhood.

The Inspectorate for Social Affairs and Employment, formerly the Labor Inspectorate, is investigating what happened.
