Limburg cop dismissed for webcam sex with "teenager"
A police officer from Limburg was dismissed with immediate effect on Tuesday after he was caught having webcam sex with what he believed was a 17-year-old girl. This happened several times during working hours and while he was in uniform, according to 1Limburg.
This case was revealed by crime journalist Peter R. de Vries. He investigated for months after getting hold of footage of the police officer and teenager. According to him, the teenager is actually an adult woman pretending on Skype to be a 17-year-old girl.
De Vries recently confronted the man with the footage. The police officer initially denied everything, but later admitted what he did in a telephone conversation with the crime journalist.
The police officer was dismissed with immediate effect on Tuesday. Limburg police chief Gery Veldhuis told RTL that he is embarrassed by this cop's behavior. "It's rancid. He is a disgrace to tens of thousands of police officers."
