Police investigate possible hostage situation in Best

The police are investigating a possible hostage situation in Best, Noord-Brabant. Two suspects, men aged 24 and 25 years from Valkenswaard, were arrested on Tuesday, the Telegraaf reports.

The investigation was triggered by a wounded man showing up at a police station on Tuesday afternoon. He told the police that he was held against his will, according to newspaper AD. He was treated for his injuries, though the police would not say what the nature of those injuries were.

The police then went to Lieringsedijk, a road through a wooded area in Best, and launched an investigation. The police are not saying anything more on the matter, in the interest of the investigation.
