Dutch man dies in 500 meter fall from Austrian mountan

A 49-year-old Dutch man was died after falling 500 meters from a mountain in Austria on Wednesday, the Austrian police announced, according to the Telegraaf. The Dutch man and a 38-year-old compatriot were climbing the Grosses Wiesbachorn, a 3,564 meter high mountain south of Kaprun. They were on their way down when the victim slipped. Rescue workers found the man's body. According to the Austrian police, it is unclear what caused the fall. The two were experienced and well prepared climbers and the weather was good.
