Four arrested in baseball bat assault

Four men were arrested on Sunday night for assaulting another man with a baseball bat in a home on Ettingstraat in Roosendaal, the police said in a statement on Monday. Officers responded to a report o an assault around 7:00 p.m. on Sunday. On Ettingstraaat they found a 29-year-old man who claimed that four other men assaulted him with a baseball bat. The officers entered the house the victim indicated and arrested four men between the ages of 24 and 30 years. Two of the suspects are from Roosendaal, the other two gave no permanent address. A baseball bat and a canister of tear gas were found in the house and seized. The four suspects are in custody for questioning. The victim was taken to the hospital to be treated for a broken jaw.
