Two stabbed as youths brawl at asylum center

Two underage asylum seekers sustained stab wounds in a brawl in an asylum center in Goirle, Noord-Brabant on Thursday night. One of them was taken to hospital for treatment before being taken to the police station. The other was taken into custody immediately, according to the Tilburg police. The fight did not happen in the regular asylum center in Goirle, but in a small group home for child asylum seekers. According to the COA, the biggest difference between this group home and a regular asylum center, is that 24 hour counseling is available for the young people living there. A total of about 12 young asylum seekers were involved in the brawl, according to Omroep Brabant. They attacked each other with knives and sticks. Some damage was also done to the home. The police are still investigating the cause of the brawl.
