Undercover cops shot at in stolen goods case; Suspect hurt

An undercover police operation in Schiedam ended in a shooting on Wednesday afternoon. One of the suspects were injured, according to the police. Undercover officers made an arrangement with the suspects to buy their stolen goods on Laan van Bol'es at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. There were 3 suspects waiting when they arrived at the scene. The cops bought the stolen goods and then revealed themselves as police officers. One of the suspects fled and officers gave chase. At one point the man pulled out a firearm and started shooting at the officers. None of the officers were hit. Officers returned fire and one of them hit the suspect. He was taken to the hospital with minor injuries. He'll be arrested as soon as he is discharged. The other two suspects, two boys aged 16 and 17 years, was arrested on the spot and taken to the police station. They are still in custody.
