Shots fired, gunmen missing in Amsterdam robbery
Two armed men who fired shots during a morning raid of a home in Amsterdam Nieuw-West are still on the loose, according to the Parool newspaper. The apparent robbers made their way into the home on Gerrit Stuyverstraat at about 10 a.m. and threatened those inside with a firearm.
The first suspect, a thin, bearded man, was described as being between 20 an 30 years old and wearing a blue coat. The second also had a beard and was wearing an orange jacket, police stated in a citizen alert at 10:39 a.m.
They still were not in custody as of noon, but police cancelled the citizen alert. The case is still under investigation.
It is not known if anything was stolen from the house in the Geuzenveld neighborhood.
