Hema voted Netherlands’ most needed brand

Department store chain Hema was once again voted the Netherlands' most needed brand in research institute Eurib's annual top 100 ranking. Bol.com came a close second and Ikea came in third. The institute asked 1,211 Dutch people to rate 1,490 brands on whether or not they would be sorry if the brands disappeared, NU reports. Hema's score amounted to 69 percent indispensable, much lower than the 81 percent the department store chain got in 2008. Bol.com got just one percent lower. The top 10 indispensable brands in the Netherlands are as follows:
  1. Hema
  2. Bol.com
  3. Ikea
  4. Kruidvat
  5. iDeal
  6. Albert Heijn
  7. Lidl
  8. NOS Journaal
  9. Action
  10. Blokker
